Hi,

Unfortunately, my trial period for Passage Express has expired and I never figured out how to use face labels. How do I control the font size for them. When I added the labels they looked fine but when I tested them, the font was too big and I could never get the names to fit in the text box.

What's the secret?

Thank you.

Hi,

I hope I'm not missing your point.

The font size doesn't change. You can change the color of the text or the color of the background or the font itself.

It looks to me like you can fit about 60 characters into the text box. That would fit most names that I know of.

The face labels show up when you roll the mouse over the finished picture. It goes away when you roll off the spot.

When setting it up, you draw a box over the face you want to identify.
A text box will pop up. In it you type the name that corresponds to the face in the box. You go along and do the same for the other faces in the picture. If you don't like the placement, you can go back and change the shape of the box or where it's situated.

You can use the feature to identify things other than faces too.
You can point out features of the old homestead, spots where something happened, a particular item of clothing, etc.

Hope that helps.

If you can't change the font size, how do you make the name fit in the available space? When I typed in the name, it seemed okay but when I used "test", the font was too large and only segment of the name was visible.

I'm at a disadvantage here because, as I mentioned in my other message, my trial expired before my enrollment here was approved so I never managed to get a usable project. I was hoping to include Passage Express in a demonstration I am working on but I never could get anything usable.

Something is evidently wrong. When I try to fill the box, it takes over 60 characters before no more will fit.
Here's an example of how it looks if you have the labels turned on.
In most cases, the labels will only show up when you roll the mouse over them, so it doesn't matter if they actually overlap one another.
