| Two short years ago when I was still running Windows XP, I produced a couple of dozen Passage Express CDs, meticulously loaded with many precious PDF and other multimedia formated files. It's now reported that when running those CDs on Windows 7 the PDF text will come up but elsewise no button on the front / main menu screen responds. Unless something drastic is done by way of a patch or service pack produced by Microsoft (are you guys and dolls at Passage Express doing something about this?) I'll have to send out many feeble, pitiful apologies to the many family and friends whose names I'd proudly put on my CD addressees list at the time. What a shameful waste of so much effort and time I spent, trusting that the Passage Express program would survive Windows version changes, and that backward compatibilty issues wouldn't become a time bomb for CDs already produced. |

Hello Butz,
Like Vista, I am sure that there will be issues with Win 7 as well that need to be addressed. I am confident that Jon will get the issue resolved and will probably PM you soon (if he already hasn't).

It may not all be a Windows 7 compability issue, but an issue with the imbeded viewer. Some programs with older viewers are not compatible with the newer 64-bit operating systems. "Sometimes we improve ourselves into oblivion." _________________ Kenny

| We have passed some files for testing on to Butz and hope all goes well there. Meanwhile, a separate Windows 7 topic has just been created. If you are having problems running Passage Express on Windows 7, please post it to that topic. |

How do I put windows 7 and xp both on my laptop? Hi, i really need some help here. I am starting to work for sunlife financial tomorrow and need my laptop to run windows xp for their software. Currently i have windows 7 installed. I want to know if I can split my hard drive and when computer boots I can choose xp or windows 7. So I can use xp for work and windows 7 for home. Since i don't have the cd for windows 7 I don't want to remove it completely. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated!

Putting two operating systems on one computer is a specialty item that is out of my expertise. A local computer technician would probably have some insight into this.
You are welcome to download the very latest from www.passageexpress.com onto your Windows 7 computer and use your existing license number. Passage Express had been updated for Windows 7 but we have found a few users that are still having some problems. Often, but not always, this is rectified by right clicking the Passage Express icon and choosing Run as Administrator from you little menu that appears when you right-click. Much of the problem seem to be connected to the user settings/rights on the particular computers.
If that does not help. Send an email to support@passageexpress.com and explain what you need (copying and pasting this correspondence would be fine) as we are working on this situation and can help you download new updates. |

Hello, I too have produced CD's and given them to other people, which do not run with Windows 7.
The error message "an error message :error in form load 339 component "LTOCX14N.OCX' one of its
dependencies not correctly registered. a file is missing or invalid"
I hope this helps solve the problem, as I will not be creating any more projects with this program if the users can't access it.
Thank you.

Can the same Windows 7 license be used again on the same computer? I bought the retailed version some time ago, and i installed Windows 7 on this computer i'm using. But now i want to reformat the entire hard disk, but the Recovery DVD will install Windows Vista into my system. So can I install windows 7 again on the same pc, with the same license?

| Your existing license for Passage Express will work on any of the standard Windows operating systems. |
