Family Tree Maker and/or/vs Family Tree Builder
My wife and I are really new to the "Tree" but, my wife is getting into it all via "Ancestory.ca". At this point, I was wondering if there is any real significance to either program (other than the FTB dedicated webspace). Do both work well with PE ??
There is a "need to know" since to go beyond the teasers, there is significant $$ for either program in it's "full blown" state.
Tks...

Hi Steve,
I haven't used the Ancestry Family Tree, so don't know much about it. I do wonder though if you will have a copy of everything on your own computer or if it will be all on the web (in a cloud!)
I don't use Family Tree Maker either, but a lot of people have been doing so for many years.
I guess it all depends on what you want from the program and how you like to work.
There are also other genealogy programs to be considered. Take a look around before making your decision.
Glad to see a little activity here. Merry Christmas. _________________ Terry - volunteer forum monitor |
