I created a small file, 35 individuals and 15 marriages. Various of these individuals had linkage to scrapbook items as well as linkage to event images, primarily census images.
Upon importation into Passage Express, there was a sort of a warning note: 4 duplicate files were found. This note could possibly relate to the census images, because of the linkages to 5 census images, 4 of them relate to multiple people
Clicked okay and then the next screen: "Something unexpected was found when opening this folder. Click for details.' Then the note "68 Items."
Without double checking image by image, I tend to believe those images were those images linked to the scrap book entries for the individuals of the file.
And now further, I have no clue as to how I might Preview what is in this Passage Express file nor how to print, in order to answer the question "Where am I in this process."
Respectfully
Bill

Bill,
I had a similar problem as well.
I am going to create a new database with no citation media links
and no duplication use of inividual media to run another test.

Hi,

When we were doing the beta testing, I had the "something unexpected" error - but it was always cleared up the next time I opened the project.

I think it happened sometimes when something was added and sometimes when something was deleted.
I don't know why?

Did you look at the project again to see what it showed?

First - let me say I knew nothing about Passage Express so I looked at the informatin on the Web Site, read the Help files, and scanned through the manual for Family History CD. I really like what I see and have high hopes for this application.

I installed, entered registration key, and updated the software (2.0.13). I use AQ 11.0.13 (the latest version). The Import of my AQ database went smooth, but I got the message something unexpected happened. Deleted the AQ Import directory in the Project and re-imported (multiple times) using various options, none would allow me to view photos from within the AQ application. The links from the AQ database were changed and the image files can not be found by AQ. The images are loaded and available in the PE project. My image files for the AQ Scrapbook are stored in a folder named SCRAPBOOK located in the same directory as my AQ database.

So, I copied everything to a new directory (AQ and the JPG files) and di the import again. Still did not work. Got the same error message. When I opened the AQ database and looked at the link to an image file I noticed the filename had been changed. The first 5 characters of the filename were missing. Your software might be locating the DOT before the filename suffix and going back "n" characters (not enough). I also have a comma character in the filename, but that doesn't appear to be the problem. I use spaces, #, dash, = characters in my filenames.

The messages in the dialog boxes when importing AQ data seem to need improvement.

I keep all of my Known-valid supporting data (census, etc) in a "KNOWN" folder and I ran in import on that which worked perfectly.

I will keep testing.
