Having problems producing a DVD in Passage Express. ( using the Passage Express FMT 2.2.39 vision ). I did every suggestion in their FAQ's. I keep getting this error message " You must first prepare your DVD menu before burning a disc." Had no problem burning a CD-ROM and able to burn other CD- DVD's outside of the Passage Express program. My CD-DVD writer is an Samsung TSST corp SH-W162c.

Hi Hal,
Glad you have joined us.
It sounds like you might have missed one step in the process of making the DVD.
Are you already familiar with burning DVDs and creating the menus for them? The DVD menu is different from the one you create for the CD.
You will not need the Exit button, but will have to put a button for each of the slide show movies or video files that you want to include.
Hope that helps a little?

Hi,
I'm just getting a DVD/CD burner installed.
Does Passage Express walk you through how to burn to the DVD or do you need to learn about that separately?
Thanks _________________ A family searcher |

Lola,
It's hard to say. I think it's easy.
Try it out and see if you run into any problems.
If so, post them and we'll try to help.
The menu that you create will take you to the different parts of the DVD when you put it in the DVD player.
If you are making a project for the computer that will be the same process as usual, you'll just have more space to work in. _________________ Terry - volunteer forum monitor |
