I am having some problems with the Slideshow creator. Whatever font and color I choose reverts to default. Anyone else noticing this and can it be fixed?
Also the command to play the slideshow with default player (Windows Media Player for instance) does not work as WMP cannot play the special slideshow format used by Passage. Does WMP need a special codec installed? |

| Yes I am having the same problems. The new font and colour settings are not saved and nor is the new order of pictures if I re-arrange them. Very annoying. |

I wonder if you are certain that you have "saved" the changes before you close the slideshow creator? After making the changes you describe you must save them before closing the slideshow creator. _________________ Bernie |

| Yes the process has been repeated several times with saving each time to ensure no mistakes. |

I'm having the same problems. I can click the save icon and it will still ask me if I want to save my changes before closing slideshow.
Also, the slideshow preview in slideshow creator has the music in sinc, the text in the proper font, the music overlapping, but when I test my project that all goes down the drain.
I don't dare burn to a DVD yet until I know which preview is correct. |

The font and color going back to default sounds like a bug that we will check in to.
As far as Windows Media Player playing your slideshow, it will play it if you have converted your slideshow into a MOVIE file. In the slideshow creator, there is a movie tab which if you click on it will guide you into making your slideshow into a movie.
We have a detailed chapter posted on the web of making slideshows. It should clarify for you why the sound may not be in sync as you had hoped also.
DVD discs are pretty inexpensive. If it were me, I'd go ahead and burn one and see how everything looks as I watch it on the TV. I usually catch other things that I didn't notice before. If I saw things that I wanted to change about my slideshow movie, it's as easy as opening up the slideshow creator, making the changes and then recreate the movie. It will write over the old one.
Thank you for posting these questions and comments.

Today I have been trying to create a slide show with a dark grey background rather than a black one. I can change the Picture Background colour but can't change the Title Colour no matter what I do. YES, I HAVE SAVED THE CHANGES.
I looked at the forum and found that problems with the slide show creator were reported about a year ago and you acknowledged the fault.

A whole year is a long time to fix a bug as important as this!
