Hi Jeff,
I have upgraded to ver 16 and notice (tested with AQ & PAF import) that the import folders bug where the message (click on) came up has gone, but what happens now, after the import has completed, the program freezes and the only way to unfreeze is to either add a folder or close project and open again.
Keep up the great work

I too have a problem, using build 16.
My import goes okay. But when I get to the finish and the folders come up, there is a picture displayed for the last person and the file is then locked.
To get out of it is easy, just close and reopen. But it does not seem that it should lock up the first time.

I loaded AQ data file into a new project created in version 2.0.16 of the PE application just fine. After the load, the new Folder seamed to have the focus, but that did not cause me any problems. I selected the AQ file and added some text in the Detail. Opened the AQ file with AQ and all looks good.
Based on suggestions on this forum, before loading the AQ file into PE I renamed the file to PE Data for --- and the new name stuck, as I expected. That is a good idea and should be included in the users' guide when one is created for the new version of the software.
I was a little suprised not to see the new Face for PE, but that doesn't bother me. Now that I have been using it for a while I understand how to navigate in the application, so a change will add another learning action on my part.
I am close to finishing a project build that includes some custom reports (PDF) out of AQ and charts (PDF) from Genelines along with many photographs and scanned documents that I do not link to the AQ data and will be cutting a test CD soon. I add explanitory text to most of the files I import which is time consuming. I plan to take this CD to as many different computers I can get access to for testing purposes.
I have learned to enter description text in another file and copy/paste into the Detail window. That way I retain that text outside PE - in case I can't recover the Details data. It also gives me access to a spell-checker. |
