I find that I spend too much time trying to find out what I need to do, to do what I want to do next. For instance;
On the new opening page where is a link to the tutorial? It should be under help.
Under projects what is the diference between the 3 selections they all seem to infer the same thing?
Or should I go to the left side and start at one of the 2 project selections? Which one?
What is the diference between Other Options, and Settings, Edit preferences. To me settings, options, preferences and change project details all mean the same thing.
Manage and edit mean the same thing. Which do I choose?
As a new user don't I want to "Open?" Open what? Or what else should I choose? Open what?
Moving on to Project Builder;
In the right panel what is the original file path. I have many readyme files. Which is this one? After 6 months I don't remember.
How do I get from here to the opening page? Or to my Front Page?
During a slideshow of 500+ images how does the viewer stop the show without a Ctl Alt Del?
Confused? That's what I'm talking about!
There are undoubtably more but this points up my concern. It is a constant problem of what to do next. Rather than being terse be verbose. If there is an action or movement that can be done on a page give us an icon to do it or to get there. I shouldn't have to remember all this or need to be retrained after being away from it for awhile. As it is, it is hard to navigate or remember how to.
BTW, I really like the program and demo it to groups occasionally. Sep. 10th being the next one. I do make special emphasis on reading the tutorial as it isn't intuititive and they will be lost if they don't.
